Tsum Tsum’s Star Wars event comes around every year (in May in the Japanese version).
This ranking is based mainly on coin farming efficiency, while also considering ease of use, performance at low skill levels, and practicality.
It isn’t simply sorted by efficiency at max skill, so it should also answer the question, “Which one is strongest at my skill level?”
We’ve also put together a score farming section.
Please read all the way to the end.
Tsums marked (JP only) are not yet available in the international version. We’ve kept them in the ranking for reference.

Ranking Overview
First, let’s check the overall picture in a table.

| #2 | ![]() Star Wars Light Side (Set) | Easy | Lv. 4+ |
| #3 | ![]() Rey & BB-8 | Somewhat Hard | Lv. 5+ |
| #4 | ![]() Pilot Luke & R2-D2 | Hard | Lv. 1+ |
| #5 | ![]() Guardian Luke (JP only) | Easy | Lv. 3+ |
| #6 | ![]() Jedi Luke | Normal | Lv. 4+ |
| #7 | ![]() Anakin Skywalker | Easy | Lv. 6+ |
| #8 | ![]() Qui-Gon Jinn | Normal | Lv. 1+ |
#1: Star Wars Dark Side (Set) (JP only)
The top spot goes to Star Wars Dark Side (Set).
It’s no exaggeration to call this Tsum an upgraded version of the Light Side (Set).
It wins in every way: easy to control, a low recommended skill level, and high coin efficiency.
It’s strong even among all Tsums and one we can recommend to beginners.
#2: Star Wars Light Side (Set)

#2 is Star Wars Light Side (Set).
It’s rated so highly for practicality that some call it “the undisputed #1.” Let’s go over why.
First, the big point is that it shows its real power from Skill Level 4.
Without items, it earns well even at Skill Level 3, with coin efficiency said to be higher than Gadget Hackwrench.
Its efficiency at max skill is nearly equal to Rey & BB-8, also S rank.
And what’s praised most is how easy it is to control.
No long chains or Bubble cancels needed — during the skill, just keep activating skills, drag the Bubble to the center of the screen, and let go.
This simplicity is a real help for players who struggle with complex skills.
In the sense that many players can actually earn well with it, the Light Side (Set) may truly be “the strongest.”
We especially recommend it for players who struggle with difficult skills or with Bubble-cancel Tsums.
#3: Rey & BB-8

#3 is Rey & BB-8. Some of you may be surprised.
It has the highest coin efficiency at max skill of any Tsum in this ranking.
The reason it isn’t #1 is its poor coin efficiency at low skill levels.
As a Pair Tsum, it earns about 5,000–6,000 coins per play even at Skill Level 1.
However, each play takes quite a long time, so you get fewer plays per hour.
As a result, coins per hour don’t grow much, and in terms of coin efficiency it’s hard to call practical.
At max skill, its earning speed jumps, so its strength is real.
However, the recommended skill level is 5+, and getting there costs Skill Tickets.
It also requires Bubble cancels, so it’s rated “somewhat hard” to control.
#4: Pilot Luke & R2-D2

#4 is Pilot Luke & R2-D2.
This Tsum’s biggest strength is that it can earn a lot from Skill Level 1.
Its potential to shine without Skill Tickets is an appeal few other Tsums have.
However, bringing out that potential requires long chain and Bubble cancel technique.
Among the Tsums in this ranking, it’s rated the most difficult.
Its coin efficiency is high, and by aiming for Time Bubbles with short chains you can even go for 100 million points.
If you get it as a beginner, it gives you something to practice toward, and it shines more the better you get — a Tsum with lots of room to grow.
Few players can handle it, so it ranks here, but the payoff when you master it is big.
#5: Guardian Luke (JP only)
#5 is Guardian Luke.
This Tsum stands out for being easy to use with high coin efficiency.
Anyone can earn coins without much thought, which is very appealing.
Its coin efficiency beats Jedi Luke, making it a very good Tsum.
#6: Jedi Luke

#6 is Jedi Luke.
In max-skill coin efficiency alone it’s slightly behind Anakin, but being practical from Skill Level 4 is a big plus.
Anakin only shows its real power from Skill Level 6, while Jedi Luke earns steadily from Skill Level 4, so it’s better value for Skill Tickets.
On top of that, using the play style known as “13 slashes,” you can even aim for 100 million points.
Once you learn the timing it gets easier, so its difficulty is rated “Normal.”
#7: Anakin Skywalker

#7 is Anakin Skywalker.
It’s often introduced as a Tsum that “earns easily,” but there’s an important caveat.
The thing to watch out for: it only really starts at Skill Level 6.
The skill charge speed is completely different between Skill Levels 5 and 6, so be careful using it below Skill Level 6.
At Skill Level 6, it’s a different story: using the gyro, it shows strength among the best of the clearing Tsums.
It may return during the Star Wars event, so if you get it, aim for Skill Level 6 before using it seriously.
#8: Qui-Gon Jinn

#8 is Qui-Gon Jinn.
This Tsum’s biggest feature is that Tsums connect even when apart during the skill.
It’s reasonably easy to use, and with long chains you can play it like Jack & Sally-type Tsums.
Playing mainly with short chains lets you mass-produce Time Bubbles, giving it the potential to go beyond 2.1 billion.
It’s usable from Skill Level 1, but not quite at Pilot Luke & R2-D2’s level.
The +Time item helps raise its coin efficiency, so we recommend pairing it with items if you want to earn efficiently.
Score Farming Section
Ranking Overview
| Rank | Tsum | Difficulty | Best Score |
|---|---|---|---|
| #1 | ![]() Qui-Gon Jinn | Somewhat Hard | 2.1 billion |
| #2 | ![]() Pilot Luke & R2-D2 | Hard | 100 million+ |
| #3 | ![]() Star Wars Light Side (Set) | Easy | Up to 100 million |
| #4 | ![]() Star Wars Dark Side (Set) (JP only) | Somewhat Hard | Up to 100 million |
| #5 | ![]() Jabba the Hutt | Hard | 100 million+ |
| #6 | ![]() Jedi Luke | Hard | Up to 100 million |
#1: Qui-Gon Jinn

For score farming, Qui-Gon Jinn is by far #1.
It’s the only Star Wars Tsum that can reach a 2.1-billion score.
It’s tough below max skill, but it isn’t very difficult — if you can use Jack & Sally, you can probably use it.
#2: Pilot Luke & R2-D2

Pilot Luke & R2-D2 can aim for 100 million points with short chains.
It’s difficult, but worth trying.
#3: Star Wars Light Side (Set)

The Light Side (Set) also has high score efficiency.
Just farming coins gets you 100 million points.
However, going beyond that is nearly impossible.
#4: Star Wars Dark Side (Set) (JP only)
The Dark Side (Set) can score up to 100 million points.
However, scoring with it feels harder than with the Light Side.
The trick is to activate Darth Maul’s skill as often as possible.
#5: Jabba the Hutt

It’s difficult, but it can aim for 100-million-point scores.
Advanced players can even reach several hundred million.
#6: Jedi Luke

By changing how you tap, you can aim for 100-million-point scores.
However, it’s difficult.
