How We Rank
This ranking is based on each Tsum at max skill level.
Difficulty isn’t considered — it’s a ranking based purely on coin efficiency.
Of course, your playing skill also matters, so use this as a reference.
Results Vary by Player
This data is just one guideline.
Some players may find lower-ranked Tsums easier to use, or even get better efficiency with them. Use the ranking as a reference, but the most important thing is to try Tsums yourself and find the ones that suit you.
Mastering a Tsum you’re good with is more efficient in the end than forcing yourself to use one you struggle with.
Tsums marked (JP only) are not yet available in the international version. We’ve kept them in the ranking for reference. Release timing differs between versions, and all dates in this article (such as “October”) follow the Japanese version.

How to Use the Top 8 Tsums
From here, we’ll briefly explain the tips for each Tsum.
Playing skill matters a lot in Tsum Tsum, so once you learn how to use each Tsum and its key points, your coin efficiency will go way up.
How-to Summary
Coronation Day Elsa

At this point, keep skill carry-over in mind and don’t leave any Bubbles
Make the clearing area as large as possible
Right after breaking it, pop the Bubbles
Key points:
・Keep skill carry-over in mind
・Chain quickly with short chains
・Don’t leave Bubbles
・Make the clearing area as large as possible
・Pop Bubbles right away
Namine

When it comes to the strongest Tsum in Tsum Tsum, Namine is the classic answer.
Here’s how to use Namine.
At this point, leave one Bubble on the board.
It doesn’t have to be neat — just as fast as you can.
Bubble cancel with the hand opposite to the one you chain with.
Aim for 5 clears per skill.
Here are the key points too.
・Bubble cancel as fast as you can
・Use skill carry-over for a skill loop
Without Bubble cancels and skill carry-over, you can’t bring out Namine’s full power.
It isn’t difficult, so practice until you master it.
For details, see the Namine page.
Hero Style Stitch (Shift) (JP only)
Hero Style Stitch (Shift) is very strong, yet very easy to use.
All you need is skill carry-over.
Here’s why we recommend this Tsum.
・The best from Skill Level 1 onward
・Very easy
・Skill carry-over is the only technique needed
・Partway through the skill, only 3 types of Tsums remain, so even beginners can use it
Jamil Viper

Many of you may be surprised, but once mastered, its coin efficiency is second only to Namine.
However, it’s one of the most difficult Tsums, so we don’t recommend it for beginners.
At this point, leave one Bubble on the board.
Sub Tsum → Jamil connects, but Jamil → sub Tsum doesn’t.
Bubble cancel with the hand opposite to the one you chain with.
Here are the key points too.
・Bubble cancel as fast as you can
・Use skill carry-over for a skill loop
・Start from a sub Tsum and chain from bottom to top, edge to edge
・Only look at the board when activating the skill
Basic Bubble cancels and skill carry-over apply to every Tsum.
Here are the points specific to Jamil.
- Bottom to top → connect from the Tsums on the screen to the ones falling in
- Edge to edge → aim for huge clears
- Don’t look at the board → they connect even if you’re sloppy, so just be fast
It’s very difficult, but at max skill level it’s a satisfying Tsum with a +6 coin adjustment.
However, think carefully before using Skill Tickets on it.
Perfume Alice (Charm)

This Tsum also scores well — it can even reach 100 million points.
Not as much as Jamil, but it’s fairly difficult.
At this point, leave one Bubble on the board.
Aim for huge clears.
Bubble cancel with the hand opposite to the one you chain with.
Using the skill during its duration saves the time it takes Alice to shrink.
Like Jamil, Bubble cancels are essential.
・Bubble cancel as fast as you can
・Use skill carry-over for a skill loop
・Chain from bottom to top, edge to edge
・Only look at the board when activating the skill
The key points are the same as Jamil.
It can earn 30,000+ coins in one play, so it may be worth leveling up.
Gaston

A permanent Tsum ranks #6!
What’s more, it’s easy to use, so once you get used to it, earning is simple, repetitive work.
Aim for 4 clears.
Activate the skill without lifting the finger you’re chaining with to carry it over.
In terms of simple play, Gaston is easily the best.
・Don’t use the 5→4 item
・Bubble cancel as fast as you can
・Swipe through as many Gastons on the screen as fast as you can
Keep these in mind and anyone can earn coins easily.
However, unlike other Tsums, it’s not usable until Skill Level 6, so think carefully before leveling it up.
Judy & Nick (JP only)
・Tips for Judy’s skill
Clear by tapping without worrying about chains.
Watch out for Bubbles piling up and keep popping them.
Judy’s skill often breaks your skill count, so be careful.
・Tips for Nick’s skill
Repeat short chain → break the ice right away.
This creates Time Bubbles and raises your record.
Captain Lightyear

Captain Lightyear is very easy and can also level up sub Tsums.
Right away, press the shuffle button once to tidy up the board.
Ideally, clear in the high 20s
Not as much as Gaston, but Captain Lightyear is also simple, repetitive play.
・Use skill carry-over
That’s the only key point.
It’s the only one that doesn’t need Bubble cancels, so we recommend it for beginners too.
For tap techniques and more, see the Captain Lightyear page.
